RCGC embraced the spirit of the season with our Sweet Fuh Dayz Christmas Basket Fundraiser. This initiative aimed to spread joy, warmth, and holiday cheer by providing Christmas baskets filled with delicious treats and goodies for sale to the general public.

The fundraiser was a sweet success, thanks to the dedication of our members, sponsors, and the generous contributions from our community. Each basket was carefully curated to bring a festive touch to homes across Georgetown.

RCGC is home to quite a few millennials so our CLS and Finance Committees collaborated to take us on a trip down memory lane with the Flashback: Games Edition event! Attendees embraced the spirit of nostalgia, showing up in school uniforms and sporting nostalgic accessories, all while reliving childhood memories through classic games.

Funds were raised through the sale of delicious treats from childhood memories - from BBQ, fried rice, and icicles (infused to adult standards) to refreshing lemonade, chicken foot, mango syrup, tamarind balls, and more. It was a true celebration of community, fellowship, and good vibes!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Guyana Police Force and Commissioner Hickens for allowing us to host the event at the Eve Leary compound, and to Guyana Beverages Inc. for their generous donation, which contributed to making this event a huge success!

'Put Yuh Money Weh Yuh Mouth Deh' Raffle

This project provided the public with the chance to win attractive prizes for a relatively small cost while also raising funds to ensure that the club continues to serve the community. Attractive prizes such as a weekend get-a-way, a cash prize, electronics, household appliances and groceries were up for grabs to appeal to the 'needs and wants' of the target group which was the general public.

Hope Chest 2.0

Hope Chest is a continuation and expansion of the project that was executed in the Rotary year 2023/2024. This project is a year-long project, with the goal to raise money through a form of passive income by placing encouraging the general public to place change in the boxes that will be situated at various strategic locations around Guyana.

The breakdown of additional boxes were placed as per locations indicated below:

Providence: 3 placements

Mega Store: 2 placements

Montrose: 1 placement

Vreed-en-Hoop: 1 placement

Giftland: 4 placements

Merch of the Quarter

This is a strategic project designed to enhance our club's visibility, engage our members, and generate additional revenue through the sale of selected club merchandise each quarter. This initiative will highlight a new set of exclusive merchandise each quarter, creating a sense of excitement and anticipation among our members and supporters.
