The project aimed to spread Christmas cheer to children of the East Ruimveldt community. In excess of seventy-five children were treated to an afternoon of fun inclusive activities such as gingerbread house and cookie decorating, food, gifts and Christmas goodies.

Notably, the project aligns with Rotary International’s vision for diversity, equity and inclusion, the Rotaract District 7030’s theme and the club’s theme of being united in endless service. A community-centered project like Wishes and Wonders brought together people of different background to all fulfill a common goal of spreading warmth and love. This, in turn, fostered inclusivity through the unification of people with a shared interest of service and volunteerism.

Project Wishes and Wonders paved the pathway for creating a meaningful and lasting impact in the lives of the children within the community during the holiday season. The execution of this project fostered emotional support coupled with a sense of normalcy and joy.

The project was made possible with the help from everyone who contributed through the sponsor a child initiative and as well as those who gave their time and effort.
